I recommend conforming any alternate 4K or 5K formats to a 3840×2160 23.976 timeline in Adobe Premiere prior to YouTube upload.

No, this is not a VP9 preset.  It futureprooofs your content to be flagged as 4K so as VP9 encoding kicks in retroactively you’re all set.
